Sony Honda Mobility, a collaboration between Sony and Honda, is ushering in a new era of automotive entertainment. Afeela, a joint venture between the two giants, will be the world’s first vehicle to offer built-in PlayStation Remote Play support.
Afeela offers PlayStation Remote Play support.
This feature allows vehicle owners to remotely connect to their PS5 or PS4 consoles at home and play games directly on the car’s infotainment screen.

Shown with prototypes at technology fairs in 2024 and 2025, this technology transforms the vehicle’s ultra-wide panoramic dashboard screen and rear-seat entertainment units into a fully-fledged gaming console. Users can bring their DualSense controllers and continue their gaming experience in the car.
Internet connection speed plays a critical role in the system’s stable operation. A minimum broadband internet speed of 5 Mbps is required for a smooth experience, while speeds of 15 Mbps and above are recommended to prevent latency and achieve high-resolution image quality.
Afeela can use its built-in 5G modem to provide this connectivity or connect to external Wi-Fi networks. Due to safety protocols, game access on the driver’s screen is only active when the vehicle is parked or charging. Passengers in the rear seats can continue playing games during the journey.
The vehicle’s technical infrastructure is also designed to support gaming performance, featuring dual motors producing a total of 360 kW (approximately 480 horsepower) and a 91 kWh battery pack.
Offering a range of approximately 482 kilometers, Afeela boasts advanced autonomous driving capabilities with over 45 sensors and a lidar system, in addition to its entertainment features. Initially expected to be offered in a “Signature” version priced at $102,900, deliveries are planned to begin in the United States in early 2026.
A more affordable version, priced at $90,000, is targeted to enter production in 2027. This step opens the door to a new era where cars are becoming not just a means of transportation, but also a mobile space for life and entertainment.
