Xiaomi has heightened excitement for its new flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which will be unveiled on December 25th. Until now, the company had only shared camera samples and the rear design, but this time, they officially revealed the front of the device and a mysterious color option for the first time. In a video shared by Xiaomi President Lu Weibing, the flagship’s appearance under real-world lighting and its physical details became clear.

Ultra-Thin Bezels and a Surprise Color Option!

The shared images highlight the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s screen experience. The device features remarkably thin and symmetrical bezels on all four sides. The body thickness has been confirmed at 8.29 mm, a remarkably impressive figure considering the massive camera sensors it houses.

The screen, with its flat edges and slightly rounded corners, promises an edge-to-edge viewing experience. While millimeter measurements haven’t been released yet, a much more modern front panel awaits us compared to its predecessor.

Until now, three color options were known for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. However, the latest video reveals a fourth option in previously unseen shades of purple/violet. This new color is poised to be the most striking member of the series, especially for users seeking something different.

Also, the previously announced Starry Green option is much more clearly visible in the video. With its shimmering texture that changes depending on the angle of light, this model fully embodies a premium feel. The other black and white options offer a simpler but highly prestigious look.

On the camera side, which is the main claim of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the collaboration with Leica is taken to the next level. Officially shared sample shots offer an amazing dynamic range and near-zero noise control in low light. However, the real difference between it and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will become clear with comparative tests after the big launch on December 25th.
