Initial details about Samsung’s highly anticipated new flagship series have started to emerge. Even months before its official launch, the leaked Samsung Galaxy S26 prices have caused a stir in the tech world. According to the information, while most models in the series will see a price increase, the top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra is set for an unexpected price drop. This suggests a significant shift in Samsung’s pricing strategy for the upcoming year.

A Detailed Look at Leaked Samsung Galaxy S26 Prices

According to reliable sources citing data from a Swedish retailer, Samsung is adjusting its prices due to rising component costs. The surge in RAM and flash storage prices is highlighted as the primary reason for this adjustment. The leak also suggests that Samsung will discontinue the 128GB storage option entirely, making 256GB the new base level for all models.

Looking at the pricing, the standard Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage is expected to be priced at 11,990 SEK (approximately €1,135). This figure is about €95 more expensive than the previous generation’s equivalent model. The 512GB version is projected to cost 13,990 SEK (approximately €1,325).

The Galaxy S26+ model presents a slightly different picture. The price for the 256GB base model is kept the same as the Galaxy S25+ at 14,490 SEK (approximately €1,372). However, a significant increase is noted for the 512GB version, which is set at 16,990 SEK (approximately €1,609), representing a hike of more than €230 compared to the previous year.

Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Price Strategy: Why Is It Cheaper?

The most surprising part of the leak concerns the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It appears Samsung aims to take a more aggressive competitive stance by lowering the entry price of its top flagship model. The price for the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra has been reduced from 17,990 SEK to 16,990 SEK (approximately €1,609). Similarly, the 512GB version’s price has dropped to 18,990 SEK (approximately €1,798). The price for the top-of-the-line 1TB version remains unchanged at 22,490 SEK (approximately €2,129).

Additionally, Samsung is expected to end its long-standing tradition of offering a free storage upgrade during the pre-order period. The increasing memory costs have likely made such promotions unsustainable.

Beyond pricing, no major hardware changes are anticipated. The Galaxy S26 is likely to feature a 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED 120Hz display, while the S26+ will have a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED panel. Both models are expected to retain features like IP68 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and Qi2 wireless charging. Depending on the market, the devices will be powered by either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets. Recent reports suggest that Samsung may announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, with sales starting on March 11.
