Tech giant Apple continues its work on highly innovative designs for its upcoming smartphone models. Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, who shares insights into the tech world on the Weibo platform, has revealed that the company is testing a quad-curved display design. This new design language is planned for the “iPhone 20” model, which is expected to be released next year specifically for the series’ 20th anniversary. General industry expectations align with the idea that Apple will introduce a completely different and special device for this milestone anniversary.
iPhone 20 Leak: Bezel-free Design and Quad-Curved Display
One of the most striking aspects of this special model is its completely seamless screen structure, featuring no notch or camera cutouts. However, according to recent reports, the company is facing some hardware challenges in hiding the Face ID sensors and camera under the display. Despite these hurdles, the tech giant is reportedly not giving up on this new concept, which aims to provide a bezel-free, full-screen experience by curving the glass over all four edges.

This quad-curved innovation would wrap around the sides of the device, making the rumors of removing physical buttons in favor of haptic (tactile) buttons highly plausible. Even if Apple fails to perfectly integrate the camera and facial recognition sensors under the display by launch, the quad-curved glass alone would give the iPhone 20 a fundamentally unique and distinct appearance compared to its predecessors. While it remains uncertain if Apple will fully achieve its 20th-anniversary goals, it is clear that the coming years will be very dynamic in terms of smartphone design.
Apple’s move toward a “slab of glass” aesthetic represents its most radical redesign since the iPhone X. Do you think a quad-curved screen will improve the ergonomics of the iPhone, or are you concerned about accidental touches and durability? Share your thoughts in the comments!
