Insomniac Games, which brought the Venom character to the gaming world with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, might be working on a separate project for this anti-hero. Nadji Jeter, who voices the character Miles Morales, stated that the studio is in preparation for a Venom game.
While sharing some details about the project, Jeter gave important clues about the game’s development process. Especially the passing of Tony Todd, who voiced Venom in Spider-Man 2 and lost his life last year, is thought to have an impact on the future of the project.
What Do We Know About the Venom Game?
During an interview, Nadji Jeter stated that he saw the opening sequence of the Venom game, emphasizing that the project is a comprehensive game. This statement points out that the production in question might not just be an expansion pack, but an independent experience like Miles Morales’ solo game.

Although Jeter’s statements are interpreted as the project might have been canceled or suspended, journalist Jason Schreier denied these claims. Schreier stated that the information about the Venom project being canceled is not true, offering a different perspective on the matter.
The Studio’s Future Plans and Leaks
The Insomniac Games leaks that took place in 2023 had brought to light some documents regarding the studio’s roadmap extending to the early 2030s. An independent Venom game reference taking place in these documents had created a great expectation among fans.
The game, which was expected to be announced at the State of Play event in February, maintains its uncertainty along with the introductions that did not take place on that date. Along with the studio’s previously canceled multiplayer Spider-Man project, the Venom game also takes its place among the productions eagerly awaited by the gaming world.
Do you think Insomniac Games should develop an independent game for Venom, or continue the story in a different way?
