Saudi Arabia Launches Ceer as Its First Electric Vehicle Brand
Saudi Arabia has officially entered the automotive manufacturing landscape with the introduction of Ceer, the nation’s inaugural domestic electric vehicle brand. Established as a strategic partnership between the Public Investment Fund and technology giant Foxconn, the venture serves as a cornerstone of the ambitious Vision 2030 economic diversification program. By aiming to reduce the country’s dependence on oil-based revenues, the kingdom seeks to establish a sustainable automotive ecosystem. Ceer, which translates to moving forward in Arabic, plans to introduce a comprehensive portfolio of seven distinct models by 2030, marking a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s industrial transformation.

The Exobot Models Redefine Future Design
The debut models, known as Exobot sedan and SUV, offer a glimpse into the brand’s aesthetic vision. These vehicles incorporate unique design elements, including Shahin Wing gull-wing doors that facilitate easy entry while eliminating the need for a B-pillar. 
The exterior design features electro-chromatic glass on the lower door panels, allowing passengers to control opacity levels to manage privacy and sunlight exposure. 
This integration of form and function highlights the brand’s focus on adapting to the unique environmental conditions of the region.
Interior Technology Enhances User Experience
Inside the cabin, the vehicles prioritize connectivity and comfort through a massive 48-inch digital display that spans the entire dashboard. 
The infotainment system, which features a custom interface inspired by the Riyadh skyline, provides seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 
Furthermore, the interior climate control includes a specialized Halo cooling mode, which creates a protective air barrier at the passengers’ head level to mitigate extreme heat. Additional displays are provided for rear passengers to ensure a premium experience for all occupants.
Technical Specifications Deliver High Performance
The Exobot series utilizes a robust 112 kWh battery pack capable of delivering up to 600 kilometers of range for the sedan variant and 500 kilometers for the SUV. 
These vehicles are powered by a three-motor configuration that generates 1,111 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque. The sedan is engineered to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just over two seconds. 
An 800V electrical architecture supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to reach an 80 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes, while steer-by-wire technology ensures precise vehicle handling.
Production Plans Support Economic Goals
The manufacturing infrastructure will be centralized at a purpose-built factory in King Abdullah Economic City, designed to meet the growing demand for electric mobility. Beyond vehicle production, this initiative acts as a catalyst for local economic development and technological localization. The company projects the creation of 35,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2034, reinforcing the kingdom’s commitment to industrial growth.
