    TEKNOFEST Southeast concluded its successful five-day run at the Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, held from September 30 to October 4, bringing together a massive crowd of 1.5 million visitors. As the latest edition of the world’s largest aerospace and technology festival, the event showcased a wide array of cutting-edge innovations, ranging from Turkey’s homegrown defense platforms to advanced agricultural technologies. Attendees from across the region experienced a diverse program featuring interactive workshops, aviation demonstrations, and educational exhibits designed to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists. The event served as a major cultural and technological milestone for the city of Şanlıurfa.

Simultaneously, the festival placed a strong emphasis on the future of farming, dedicating a 3,200-square-meter area to agricultural technologies. Here, visitors explored artificial intelligence-supported autonomous tractors, robotic milking systems, and high-tech agricultural drones, demonstrating that technological advancement extends well beyond the battlefield into essential sectors like food production.

    Global Participation Fueled Innovation Competitions

    TEKNOFEST Southeast stood out as a global platform for competitive innovation. The technology competitions attracted applications from 81 provinces of Turkey and 99 countries worldwide. Out of the 730,000 teams that applied, over 2,000 teams successfully reached the final stages in Şanlıurfa. These participants competed in diverse fields including biotechnology, chip design, robotics, and electronic warfare. The event distributed over 75 million TL in prize money, reinforcing the commitment to fostering a robust research and development ecosystem for students and professionals alike.

    Educational Activities Engaged Young Minds

    The festival served as a massive educational hub through its variety of interactive experiences. From planetarium shows and scientific workshops to simulation zones, the organizers prioritized hands-on learning for children and teenagers. The HÜRKUŞ Mini Flight Area allowed younger children to engage with aviation concepts through non-motorized aircraft, while older students participated in technical seminars.
