While the device’s identity remains a secret, fitting such a large battery into a premium smartphone is considered a truly impressive engineering feat. This development highlights the advancement of battery technology, especially considering the space taken up by large camera sensors and other high-end hardware.

Currently, the highest battery capacity among phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset belonged to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max at 7,500mAh. However, this model’s ability to outperform the iPhone 17 Pro Max by just 5 minutes in battery tests indicated that the chipset was focusing on raw performance rather than efficiency.
