Stellantis, in collaboration with its Chinese partner Leapmotor, is preparing to bring its new electric hatchback, the B05, to the European market. Unveiled at the IAA Mobility 2025 trade fair in Munich, the vehicle aims to challenge European rivals like the Volkswagen ID3 and MG4 with its affordable price. Sold in China as the Lafa 5, the model will hit the roads in Europe as the B05 and will be one of two Leapmotor models to be produced in Europe.
Leapmotor B05 Coming to the European Market
The Leapmotor B05’s design takes cues from the brand’s other models. Among the highlight features are darkened headlights connected by a thin grille, sporty air intakes, frameless doors, and full-length LED taillights. The model showcased in Munich attracted attention with its bright yellow paint and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Unlike its Chinese counterpart, the European version of the vehicle does not feature a Lidar sensor on the roof. The B05: It measures 4430 mm long, 1880 mm wide, 1520 mm high, and has a 2735 mm wheelbase. These dimensions indicate that the B05, while shorter than the B10, shares the same wheelbase.
While the vehicle’s full technical specifications have not yet been released, the B05 is expected to use the same LEAP3.5 platform as the B10. The model, likely to come with a single electric motor, is expected to produce 215 hp and 240 Nm of torque.
Two battery options, 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh, will also be available. The larger battery offers a range of up to 434 km under WLTP standards. Stellantis, responsible for European sales of Leapmotor models, has not announced official pricing. However, the B05 is expected to be less expensive than the B10, which starts at €29,900 in Europe.
