Lucasfilm has begun preparations for a horror film set in the Star Wars universe. The creator of the Andor series, Tony Gilroy, has stated that he wants to shoot a sitcom or horror film set in this universe and said that a horror film project is currently in the preparation stages.
A horror film set in the Star Wars universe will be shot
Marvel has previously tried special productions with horror elements. It seems that the same approach has begun to be applied in the Star Wars universe. However, the series’ cinema projects in recent years have fallen short of expectations.

This situation has caused the brand to take more cautious steps in terms of cinema. Small-scale and experimental productions other than mainstream projects that appeal to a wide audience are now being brought to life through Disney+.
Gilroy’s statements confirm that the Star Wars universe is stepping into a new genre within this framework. The horror film project being worked on has not yet been detailed, but the start of the production process shows that the production is taking shape.
Gilroy brought a dark, political and dramatic tone to the series with the Andor series. This tone’s evolution into a more extreme form of horror will expand the boundaries of the Star Wars universe even further. The content of the project, director, release date or cast are currently unknown.
However, we can now say that preparations are underway and that a horror Star Wars production is on the agenda. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
