In a major development for international defense collaboration, Turkish defense technology giant HAVELSAN has inked a groundbreaking agreement with Egypt’s Kader Advanced Industrial Factory for the joint production of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
The strategic partnership, formalized in Cairo, will see Turkish-engineered UGVs manufactured on Egyptian soil. Under the agreement, HAVELSAN will provide technical support and licensing, while production will be handled at Kader’s facilities—one of Egypt’s most advanced industrial defense plants.
The deal was signed by Major General Dr. Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of Kader Factory, and Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of HAVELSAN, in the presence of Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Şen.

A Leap in Autonomous Defense
HAVELSAN has emerged as a leader in autonomous systems, bringing cutting-edge technology in AI-driven decision-making, swarm intelligence, mission systems, and advanced sensor integration. Their UGVs are designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, support, and border security across challenging terrains.
“More Than Just a Deal”
“This cooperation is not just about technology transfer,” said Şevket Ünal. “It’s a shared vision and expertise between two nations aiming to build stronger, smarter defense systems.”
Ambassador Şen highlighted the broader vision behind the agreement: “Kader Factory is one of Egypt’s most capable facilities. This agreement lays the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.”
