Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 update, while not as comprehensive as its previous major release, One UI 7, brings significant improvements. Along with improvements like the updated Samsung DeX and an improved Secure Folder, the focus this time is on Galaxy tablets. Here are the details.
Now Brief for Galaxy Tab S10
With the stable One UI 8.0 update released for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra in South Korea, users confirmed the addition of Now Brief, a key part of the Galaxy AI suite, to their tablets.

Now Brief is an artificial intelligence feature designed to provide you with personalized and relevant information at the right points throughout the day using information from your device. This smart feature can display the following throughout the day:
- Current weather conditions.
- Upcoming calendar events and reminders.
- Recommended music for your commute.
- News articles based on your interests.
- At the end of the day, a summary shows photos and videos taken that day and your step count.
One of Now Brief’s most important advantages is its flexibility. Users can easily turn off or on unwanted content categories, such as recommended news articles or music playlists, through the settings menu.
Now Brief, which debuted with the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year and reached the Galaxy Tab S11 series a few months ago, is finally available to Galaxy Tab S10 series users.
Now, the focus is on whether this useful AI feature will also be released for the Galaxy Tab S9 series and lower-end Samsung tablets. Whether Samsung will bring this important AI feature to older tablet models remains to be seen.
