Vince Gilligan, known for his work on television landmarks like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is preparing to launch his long-developed new series. The series, which will air on Apple TV+, has been titled Pluribus. The release date was also announced in a short video shared by Apple: Pluribus will premiere on November 7th.
Pluribus Coming Soon
When the project was first proposed, it was called Wycaro 339. However, this name was merely a temporary codename for the development process. Details about the series were kept secret from the public for a long time. While Apple’s trailer includes the first official images, the story remains unclear.
Apple describes Pluribus as an original series that blends different genres. The series features a striking summary: the unhappiest person in the world must save the world from happiness.
The production’s tagline is “Happiness is contagious.” This description suggests the series is taking a thematic direction different from Gilligan’s previous work. Previous leaks suggested the series might have a narrative structure closer to The X-Files.
Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn, who made headlines as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul. Gilligan and Seehorn reunite on this project, aiming to go beyond their previous collaborations. The cast also includes Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte.
Following the dark, layered, and character-driven narratives Vince Gilligan has crafted, Pluribus charts a new course in both its narrative style and thematic structure. The show’s impact will begin to take shape after its premiere on November 7th.
