AMD is preparing to introduce a new processor model that does not include a graphics unit within the scope of the Ryzen 9000 series built on the Zen 5 architecture. This model, which will be released under the name Ryzen 7 9700F, targets users who use an external graphics card and want to assemble their system at a more affordable cost.
A Ryzen 9000 processor without a graphics unit will be introduced
The Ryzen 7 9700F comes with eight cores and sixteen threads. The processor has 8 MB Level 2 cache and 32 MB Level 3 cache. It offers relatively low power consumption with a TDP value of 65W, while providing flexibility in performance with overclocking support. Since it does not include a graphics unit, it stands out as a more affordable alternative in systems with external GPUs.

While the other members of the Ryzen 9000 series come with an integrated Radeon graphics unit as standard, the Ryzen 7 9700F deviates from this line. This difference is also reflected in the price of the processor. The Ryzen 7 9700F is expected to be available for sale at a price tag of around $250.
This price is around $50 lower than the Ryzen 7 9700X model, which offers similar features. This price difference can be a significant advantage, especially for users who have a graphics card. In preparation for the processor’s release, motherboard manufacturers have also started releasing new BIOS updates.
The AGESA 1.2.0.3e BIOS offers full compatibility with the Ryzen 7 9700F processor. This makes it possible for users to use the new processor on their existing AM5 motherboards without any problems.
AMD’s move will not be limited to the Ryzen 7 9700F. It is stated that the Ryzen 9000G series desktop APUs will also be available on the market soon. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
