Adobe has brought its generative AI-powered content creation platform, Firefly, to mobile devices. iOS and Android users can now download and use the Firefly app for free. The app supports advanced models from companies such as OpenAI, Google, and Flux, along with Adobe’s own AI models.
Adobe Firefly officially launched for Android and iOS
The Firefly mobile app allows images and videos to be created via text descriptions. In addition to image and video creation tools, users can access the Generative Fill and Generative Expansion features, also known from Adobe’s Photoshop software, on mobile.

In addition, text-to-image, text-to-video, and image-to-video conversion processes can be performed through the app. Firefly enables content creators to produce visual and video-based assets for their projects even while on the go via their mobile devices.
Adobe states that users can integrate third-party generative AI models into their projects via the digital canvas called Firefly Boards offered within the app. New AI supports focused on video production have also been added to the Firefly Boards platform.
The app directly supports advanced systems such as Google’s Imagen 3 and Imagen 4 image models, Veo 2 and Veo 3 video production models, and OpenAI’s image generator. Users can choose from these models according to their content needs.
All content produced with the mobile app is automatically synced with the user’s Creative Cloud account, allowing instant access to content when switching to desktop or web-based Adobe applications. While some of the Firefly features on mobile are offered free of charge, some tools are paid to access.
