Tech giant OpenAI has announced its ChatGPT Go subscription plan, specifically designed for the Indian market. This new package, the company’s most affordable option to date, costs 399 rupees per month, or approximately $4.57. With this move, OpenAI aims to reach its large user base in India.
ChatGPT Go is coming soon
Due to its low per capita income, India is known as a market where global companies offer affordable products and services tailored to the market. The country has approximately one billion internet users, and companies are looking to capture a share of this massive market. ChatGPT Go is part of this strategic approach.

ChatGPT Go subscribers can send 10 times more messages and create visuals than the free version of the app. Response times and memory usage are also faster and more efficient.
OpenAI explicitly states that ChatGPT Go is currently only available in India. However, the company states on its support page that this plan may be available in other countries and regions in the future. Microsoft-backed OpenAI says this plan offers Indian users access to advanced ChatGPT features at a more affordable price.
OpenAI currently offers other subscription options in India. The top-tier subscription, ChatGPT Pro, costs 19,900 rupees per month, or about $228. The mid-tier plan, ChatGPT Plus, costs 1,999 rupees per month, or about $23.
