Tesla Model 2 on display: Coming to be the cheapest Tesla!
Elon Musk had previously denied rumors that the Tesla Model 2 was canceled. According to the latest images, the new vehicle is thought to be a smaller and affordable version, similar to the Model Y. Among the expected features are the following:

54 kWh battery pack with a range of approximately 400 km (250 miles).
It will have rear seats, meaning it will be positioned as a compact family vehicle.
The price is expected to be under $30,000. With federal incentives in the US, this could be Tesla’s most affordable vehicle.
So when will the Tesla Model 2 be released? There is no official release date at the moment, but estimates suggest a launch in Q2 or Q3 2025. Production is expected to start at the end of the year and go on sale in early 2026. There is also a possibility that Tesla may delay the Model 2’s release slightly to avoid affecting Model Y Juniper sales.

Meanwhile, there is also talk that Tesla could use the Model 2 for its new robotaxi platform being tested in Austin. Elon Musk announced that they will start testing a fleet of robotaxis with fully autonomous driving in June 2025. It is not yet clear whether the Model 2 is being developed for this project or for the consumer market.
