Amazon’s artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant Alexa Plus has been launched, but many features promised in the introduction are missing. Although the company stated that the deficiencies will be fixed over time, this has caused great disappointment among users.
Alexa Plus did not come with the expected features
With the launch of Alexa Plus, it is noteworthy that other major companies such as Apple Intelligence and Galaxy AI also launched with missing features. According to the news based on internal company documents by The Washington Post, it will take at least two months for some important features of Alexa Plus to be available.

These features include ordering food, recognizing family members and reminding them of tasks, automatically creating stories, suggesting gifts, placing grocery orders and browser support. It is stated that all these functions will be available in the future.
Amazon explained the reason for the delays as “features that do not meet public release standards”. For now, basic functions such as calling Uber, object recognition and creating email drafts can be used with Alexa Plus. The new assistant is only compatible with Echo devices with screens, and currently works with the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21 models.
Alexa Plus is available for free for Amazon Prime subscribers, but non-Prime members will be charged a $20 monthly fee. Amazon’s new virtual assistant will be rolling out to more regions in the coming weeks.
With the addition of missing features, users are wondering if Alexa Plus will live up to its promised potential. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
