When purchasing a smartphone, software support is often one of the most crucial considerations. It ensures a current and secure user experience. Even models with high-end hardware can be overlooked if they fail in this aspect. So, how does Samsung perform in this area? Here’s the complete list of Samsung devices currently supported with updates!
Samsung’s Software Support Policy
With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024, Samsung significantly improved its update policy. According to the announcement, all three models in the series will receive Android, One UI, and security updates for a full seven years. This means the series is expected to be supported until Android 21 in 2030. Additionally, regular security and One UI patches will also be provided throughout this period.
This plan is not limited to the Galaxy S24 series but applies to all upcoming flagship devices from the company. Furthermore, mid-range models released after the Galaxy A16 5G will receive updates for six years.
