The gaming world has been talking about the GTA 6 trailer recently. However, we should not ignore some important productions that are expected to arrive in 2024. One of these is the remake version of Alone in the Dark, which was released in 2008. However, the developer studio announced that it had to postpone the game for the second time.
Alone in the Dark is delayed until March 2024
THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive have announced that Alone in the Dark has been delayed for a second time. The new release date for the survival-horror legend has been set for March 20, 2024. This means that the game, which was previously delayed to January, has been postponed to another spring.
In a press release from the company, the main reason for the delay was cited as the “Christmas holiday crunch”. The statement said that the aim was to allow the development team to have a relaxed vacation. Accordingly, both companies do not want to experience any congestion during the Christmas holidays.
Pieces Interactive and THQ Nordic also stated that they want to exceed expectations with the new survival game. David Harbour and Jodie Comer, who play the main characters of the game, will show extraordinary performance.
The Epic Games Store is set to host a massive event for its New Year's special. The platform will be giving away free games every day.
This postponement has led to dashed expectations among players. The game was originally planned for October 2023. However, it was postponed to January because the developers were asked not to rush. The second postponement seems to lead to a two-month delay.
The survival-horror-themed game is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.
