Amazfit has pushed out a fresh update for the Helio Strap, giving the fitness wearable a solid boost in functionality. Version 3.7.0.1 is now rolling out, and it introduces dozens of new workout modes, improved auto-detection, and quicker access to your go-to activities.
Amazfit Helio Strap now supports more workout types

With this update, the Helio Strap gains 29 additional activity modes. While the full list hasn’t been officially published, several new options are already confirmed. These include:
- Pool Swimming
- Rowing Machine
- Badminton
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Boxing
- Wrestling
- Jiu-Jitsu
- Kickboxing
- Jump Rope
Notably, Golf didn’t make the cut—at least not yet.
Users reported that the update file is a light 3.70MB and appears to be available in stages. Early reports show the update hitting devices in regions like the U.S. and Germany.
Faster access to favorites via the Zepp app
Version 3.7.0.1 also adds a way to streamline workout tracking. You can now create a list of favorite workouts using the Zepp companion app. These favorite modes are easier to access directly from the Helio Strap, cutting down on taps and getting you into action quicker.
Activity detection is now more accurate
The update also enhances Amazfit’s automatic activity detection. This background feature is meant to start tracking certain exercises without any user input. With this tweak, users should see better responsiveness and fewer missed sessions.
Rollout is underway but staggered
As with most Amazfit updates, the 3.7.0.1 firmware is rolling out in waves. Some users already have it, while others may need to wait a few more days. You’ll need the Zepp smartphone app to check for and install the update.
Helio Strap gains function, not just features
With a bigger set of workout modes, snappier controls, and smarter tracking, the Amazfit Helio Strap continues to improve well after launch. It may not rival premium wearables in raw specs, but it keeps punching above its weight—especially for a $99 device.
