Amazon’s artificial intelligence-powered digital assistant Alexa+, introduced in February, has reached 100 thousand users worldwide. Although this data, announced by company CEO Andy Jassy, may seem like a low rate when considering the 600 million classic Alexa devices currently in use; it is considered as part of Amazon’s gradual popularization strategy.
Amazon Alexa+ exceeds 100 thousand user threshold
Unlike the previous generation Alexa, Alexa+ has a productive artificial intelligence-based infrastructure. Instead of predefined commands; it establishes completely natural dialogues with the user and can give context-sensitive responses.

Thanks to this new structure, the assistant offers a much more interactive experience with users, just like ChatGPT or Google Gemini. However, Alexa+ has not been able to offer all the features promised so far.
Although many functions such as the use of third-party applications, child-specific storytelling and personalized gift suggestions were exhibited during the introduction phase; the current version does not yet support these features.
In particular, the lack of integration with services like GrubHub stands out as a frequently mentioned deficiency in early feedback from users. In addition, the Nova Act system that forms the artificial intelligence infrastructure of Alexa+ currently only has a 30 to 60 percent accuracy rate for tasks that require multiple steps.
Amazon plans to increase this accuracy rate to 90 percent. So what do you think about this Alexa+? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
