Globally renowned hardware manufacturer AMD shared significant insights regarding the gaming industry during its Q3 2024 financial results meeting. The company’s CEO, Lisa Su, officially announced that the highly anticipated RDNA 4 architecture-based graphics cards will be released in early 2025.

AMD Targets Early 2025 with the RX 8000 Series!

According to AMD’s CEO, the new generation GPUs will offer significant improvements not only in gaming performance but also in ray tracing technology. Additionally, the new graphics cards will stand out with their artificial intelligence capabilities, marking part of AMD’s AI-focused strategy. The company, which currently lags behind Nvidia in this area, is seen as needing a strong breakthrough to catch up.

According to reliable industry sources, AMD is expected to unveil these products at CES 2025 in January. At the same event, the company will also present its Strix Halo and Fire Range laptop products, as well as Ryzen Z2 processors for handheld consoles.

Recently, AMD has seen a notable shift in its revenue sources. The gaming segment now accounts for only 2% of total revenue, while data center solutions represent more than half of the company’s income. After restructuring AMD over the last decade, Lisa Su emphasized that their goal is to become a leader in artificial intelligence.

As previously announced by the company, AMD will now focus on artificial intelligence solutions over high-end consumer graphics cards. This strategic shift suggests that the RDNA 4 series will not directly compete with Nvidia’s top-tier products.
