AMD announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2025. The company achieved its highest quarterly revenue in its history, generating $9.2 billion in revenue during the quarter.
AMD Surprises with its Revenue
This figure represents a remarkable 36 percent increase compared to the previous year. The financial statement noted a gross profit margin of 52 percent, operating income of $1.3 billion, and net income of $1.2 billion.

AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su stated that the record results reflected strong demand for the company’s high-performance EPYC and Ryzen processors, as well as its Instinct AI accelerators. The Data Center segment was the primary driver of growth in the third quarter.
Revenue for this segment increased by 22 percent year-over-year to $4.3 billion. This increase was driven by strong demand for 5th-generation EPYC processors and Instinct MI350 series GPUs.
Following the Data Center segment, the Client and Gaming segments also performed strongly. These two segments generated a combined revenue of $4 billion, representing a significant 73 percent year-over-year increase.
The Client segment alone recorded $2.8 billion in revenue, fueled by record sales of Ryzen processors. The Gaming segment reached $1.3 billion, driven by increased shipments of semi-custom chips and demand for Radeon GPUs. In contrast, the Embedded Systems segment saw revenue decline by 8 percent to $857 million.
AMD’s progress in AI platforms is also notable. Through its strategic partnership with OpenAI, the company will begin shipping the 1-gigawatt Instinct MI450 GPU in the second half of 2026.
In addition, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure announced that it will launch its first public AI supercluster powered by MI450 GPUs and EPYC “Venice” processors in the third quarter of 2026. In addition, AMD announced that it has made new collaborations with important companies in the industry such as Cisco, IBM and DigitalOcean.
