According to leaked information, the Gator Range series will replace the current Fire Range “HX” series. These processors are focused on high-end gaming laptops, offering performance comparable to desktops. Supporting up to 24 cores and 32 threads, the Gator Range promises high performance with a TDP exceeding 55W.

The Medusa Point series, designed for mid-range and high-end laptops, is the successor to the Strix Point series. This series combines 3nm Zen 6 and Zen 6C cores. According to leaks, configurations with up to 22 cores are possible.
These processors will feature 4 Zen 6, 4 Zen 6C, and 2 LP Zen 6 cores on the main chip, with an additional 12 Zen 6 cores added via an external CCD. These processors will also feature 8 CU RDNA 3.5+ integrated graphics.
The Medusa BB series, which caters to more standard models, will be positioned in the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 class. This family boasts up to 10 cores, and the base configuration consists of 4 Zen 6, 4 Zen 6C, and 2 LP Zen 6 cores. On the graphics side, an 8 CU RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU is also used.
The leaked roadmap indicates that these series will launch in 2027. However, it is also rumored that this date may be limited by specific manufacturer plans, and that AMD may actually launch Zen 6 in 2026.
AMD is expected to share more specific information about these new mobile processors at its AMD Financial Analyst Day event in November. This event is expected to reveal more details about the company’s Zen 6 architecture and future plans.
