Starting 2025 on a fast track, AMD is preparing to show off its next-generation products at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. This year AMD is coming with powerful innovations for both desktop and mobile platforms. Among the products to be introduced are Zen 5 X3D processors and new RDNA 4 graphics cards. Here are the details
AMD set to unveil Zen 5 X3D processors, next-generation RDNA 4 graphics and more
First, on the desktop processor front, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D models will be introduced. We expect these processors to deliver a performance boost, especially in multitasking, with a higher core count and 3D V-Cache technology.
In addition, the 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with Zen 5 architecture will be released earlier, in November 2024. These models will appeal to a wide range of users, from gamers to professional users.
On the mobile processor side, we will see AMD’s powerful APUs. Equipped with the new Kraken Point and high-performance graphics, the Strix Halo models will be ideal for mobile gamers and users working with high-performance applications.
Strix Halo is AMD’s first “Halo” product on mobile platforms, and will maximize graphics performance on mobile devices. The Fire Range series, which has been adapted from the desktop to the mobile platform, will be available in both standard Zen 5 and Fire Range X3D versions with 3D V-Cache technology.
Of course, AMD’s innovations are not limited to processors; graphics cards based on the RDNA 4 architecture will also be on display. The RDNA 4 series comes with significant improvements in ray tracing performance and AI processing.
We expect it to deliver smoother graphics, more realistic lighting and accelerated frame rates in the gaming experience. Let’s see how these impressive products from AMD will be received in the market. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
