The first technical details of the eagerly awaited AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE model have come to light. This model, called the “Great Radeon Edition”, is expected to be positioned between the RX 9060 XT and the RX 9070.
Radeon RX 9070 GRE features revealed
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE will be based on the Navi 48 graphics processor. It is stated that the card contains 3,072 Stream Processors. This number indicates a one-fourth reduction compared to the full capacity of the chip.

On the other hand, it is stated that the GPU will have a boost frequency value of up to 2.79 GHz and will offer a processing power of approximately 17.1 TFLOPS. Some sources have suggested that this frequency may exceed 3 GHz in the variants planned to be produced in limited numbers.
On the memory side, 12 GB GDDR6 operating over a 192-bit data bus will be used. It was also reported that the memory frequency will be at 18 Gbps and thus provide 432 GB/s bandwidth. This value means 33 percent lower performance compared to the 20 Gbps frequency and 576 GB/s bandwidth of the RX 9070 model.
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE is seen as a transition model that will fill the gap between the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 in AMD’s product range. This segment targets users who expect high performance but want to use their budget more balanced.
The product will be introduced in the second quarter of 2025. Pricing information is also expected to be shared at this launch. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
