AMD has achieved great sales success with its Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards. The company announced that it sold 200 thousand RX 9070 series graphics cards in the first place. It is stated that the cards, which attracted great interest, are sold out in many stores, so new buyers are experiencing stock shortages. This was met with great surprise in the industry.
Radeon RX 9070 series became an agenda with its sales figures
The Radeon RX 9070 XT became the second best-selling graphics card on Amazon after its launch. While AMD approached its biggest competitor in market share after a long time, it was observed that stocks were rapidly decreasing in retail channels due to high demand.

Stock shortages also affected the prices of customised models. Some RX 9070 XT models are available for $200 above the reference price. According to supply chain forecasts, supply is expected to normalise in the second quarter of 2025 as production capacity is increased.
This could lead to more stable prices until mid-April. AMD also announced that the second batch of shipments will begin shortly. It is aimed to balance the supply to a large extent with new chips from the company’s production partner TSMC.
At the moment, it is not clear how AMD calculates the sales figure of 200 thousand units. So what do you think about this issue? Which graphics card do you currently use?
