A new leak about AMD’s plans for 2026. According to the leak, AMD plans to use 3D V-Cache technology in PlayStation chips and the next generation of Strix Halo GPUs. According to the new roadmap, the plans for 2026 will be the talk of gaming consoles and graphics cards alike. AMD
3D V-Cache technology is coming for PlayStation and Strix Halo
According to emerging information, AMD will launch its new Zen 6 Ryzen 11,000 desktop processors in 2026. The CPU part of these processors will be manufactured on TSMC’s N3E production process and the I/O part on the N4C process. On the GPU side, AMD plans to combine RDNA and CDNA technologies to create a new platform called UDNA. UDNA will be the foundation for both desktop GPUs and AI accelerators.

AMD’s Strix Halo GPU will combine the existing Infinity Cache capacity (32 MB) with 3D V-Cache to deliver more powerful performance. This will provide a significant advantage in graphics rendering and data transfer. However, AMD is reportedly focusing on cost-friendly solutions that are not as powerful as the RTX 5090 but are aimed at upper-midrange users.
New moves may also come from Sony. Sony is planning to use AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology in a new generation chip. This chip is rumored to be in development for a future portable gaming console or, more likely, the PlayStation 6. Microsoft, on the other hand, has no plans for this technology at the moment.
