In technology, hardware wars have been replaced by innovations in artificial intelligence for a while now: Google, one of the world’s largest IT giants, is preparing to surprise everyone with a newly developed artificial intelligence model. Here is the company’s innovation that may surprise you…
Google has developed an AI that can do podcast chat!
Google has introduced the ability for its users to turn their research into an AI-generated podcast. This experimental feature, added to the company’s AI-powered note-taking app called NotebookLM, creates a podcast that summarizes your research and discusses it with two hosts.
This new feature, called ‘Audio Overview’, is based on artificial presenters summarizing research materials, establishing connections between topics and making them entertaining through conversation.
NotebookLM was launched by Google last year and has been using the Gemini AI model to make research documents, notes, and transcripts more interactive. The new podcast feature takes these capabilities a step further, converting users’ written material into an audio format.
In addition to summarizing users’ notes, the feature offers an AI-driven chat experience on specific topics. According to experiencers, the AI hosts provide a very human-like conversation. For example, in a podcast trial about Thomas Edison and the invention of the light bulb, the hosts humorously mentioned that Edison did not work alone and that the invention was a team effort.
