Google ‘s highly anticipated Made by Google event took place. In addition to its products such as the Pixel 8 series , the company also introduced Android 14, for which it has been working in beta for a long time, to the users. So what will the new version bring and which models will it be sent to?
Android 14 features
With Android 14 , users are offered the opportunity to further customize their devices . For example, the design language called Material You, which the company launched with Android 12 and 13, is taken to the next level. As it is known, this feature can automatically adjust application icons, user interface elements, settings and much more to follow a specific color scheme based on the colors of the wallpaper used.
With the new update, users will now be able to quickly access their favorite applications and functions by setting special lock screen widgets. In addition, lock screen and home screen customizations that offer specially prepared templates for widgets, colors, fonts and more are also available to users.
Another of the most striking details in the new version is the artificial intelligence-generated wallpapers. However, for now, this feature will be available first on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models . It will come to other models in the future. On the other hand, Ultra HDR image format will be supported in photos.
Other important innovations that come with the update are as follows:
- Ability to use supported devices as webcams
- Making app permissions more secure and comprehensive
- Advanced PIN feature
- Font sizes can be increased by up to 200 percent
Android 14 is available for Google Pixel devices supported by its stable version as of today. Towards the end of this year, it will also be offered to smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, iQOO, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo and Xiaomi.
