Samsung has started rolling out Android 14 update for one of its affordable smartphones, the Galaxy A04e. The new software upgrades the budget-friendly device to the latest Android version. Samsung is also offering the December 2023 security suite.
Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for Samsung Galaxy A04e
The firmware version is labeled A042FXXU6DXA3 and the update is currently rolling out in various Asian countries. However, Samsung has not shared an exact date for the completion of the phased rollout. So you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update and tapping “Download and Install”.
Released in 2022, the Galaxy A04e is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor, 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ display and features a dual rear camera setup with a 13 Megapixel main sensor and a 2 Megapixel depth lens. It has a 5 Megapixel front camera for selfies.
The A04e is an affordable smartphone with basic features such as LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card support for storage expansion. In line with Samsung’s update commitment, it has received the Android 13-based One UI 6.0 update in recent months.
This move shows that Samsung is committed to providing Android updates even to its affordable models. Some other Galaxy A and M models are expected to receive One UI 6.0 with Android 14 in the coming weeks.
