GeForce Now, which allows players to enjoy hundreds of games smoothly with just a strong internet connection instead of a powerful computer, has recently faced a disappointing development. NVIDIA announced significant changes to the platform.

Monthly 100-Hour Game Time Limit for GeForce Now

NVIDIA has introduced some adjustments to its GeForce Now service to optimize the user experience and control costs. As part of these changes, the existing “Priority” membership has been renamed “Performance.” Additionally, new features have been added, such as support for 1440p resolution, ultra-wide gaming, and saving graphics settings.

However, there are also some downsides. As of January 1, 2025, new members purchasing the Performance or Ultimate packages will have a 100-hour monthly game time limit. This limit equates to roughly three hours of gaming per day.

This restriction will not affect current subscribers, at least for now. According to the announcement, existing subscribers will be able to play their games without any limitations until January 1, 2026.

With this new restriction, users will also have the option to purchase additional game time. For example, if you reach the 100-hour limit in November, you can buy an extra 15 hours of playtime. The cost will be $2.99 for Performance members and $5.99 for Ultimate members.

NVIDIA states that it implemented this time limit to avoid increasing package prices. It’s worth noting that in 2023, a 200-hour limit was initially planned but was later retracted following user feedback.
