Huawei, which was blacklisted by the United States in 2019, restricting its use of Google services and important technologies including 5G, seems to have partially resolved this issue today. Last week, the Chinese manufacturer unveiled its 5G-enabled Mate 60 series, which is powered by the Kirin 9000s chipset. It is expected that the Mate X5 foldable phone will be added to these devices in the coming hours. Finally, the key technical specifications of the device have been revealed.

According to sources close to the company, Huawei has started working on the successor to the Mate X3, which was introduced in May. At this point, it is expected that the company will name its new foldable phone Mate X5, bypassing the “4” digit. Huawei plans to use the Kirin 9000s processor in this model as well.
Manufactured with a 5 nm fabrication process, the Kirin 9000s features 1x 2.62 GHz, 3x 2.15 GHz, and 4x 1.53 GHz cores, in addition to the Mali-G78 MP24 GPU. As mentioned above, the smartphone is expected to support 5G.
