The newly announced A18 processor offers significantly improved CPU and GPU performance compared to previous models. It is 30% faster than the A16 Bionic introduced with the iPhone 15 and provides a 50% performance boost over the A15 Bionic found in the iPhone 14. Equipped with advanced AI capabilities, the A18 processor ensures a smooth user experience.
The A18 chip offers the same performance as the A16 Bionic while using 30% less power. In terms of the GPU, it provides 40% higher performance with 35% less power consumption.
Apple, by directly moving from the A16 Bionic to the A18 processor in the iPhone 16, delivers the latest technological features to users. The processor comes equipped with an improved 16-core neural engine that is 2x faster, along with a total of six cores, consisting of four efficiency cores and two performance cores.
