Apple has announced a new repair program covering Mac mini models with M2 chips that will go on sale in 2023. According to the company’s statement, a small portion of these models will not turn on due to power issues. In other words, the program only covers Mac mini devices with M2 processors and does not include other Mac mini models.
Apple has launched a free repair program for 2023 Mac Mini with M2 processors
Apple stated that users who experience such problems with their devices can check their compatibility with the serial number on Apple’s website. Eligible devices will be repaired free of charge by Apple Stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers.

It was shared that the models with the problem were manufactured between June 16, 2024 and November 23, 2024. These models, which first went on sale in 2023, were released when Apple was switching to the M2 processor platform.
Apple did not make any statement about the technical cause of the power issue. The global repair program that has been launched will be valid for three years from the date of purchase for eligible Mac mini devices.
