Apple surprises: Screen that cannot be seen with eye!

Apple is preparing to depart from conventional screens. With a 21-page patent application, it has emerged that the company is working on a new in-car display technology for the prototype car currently known as the Apple Car.

This new technology is not entirely new, as we have previously seen a screen model that changes the image when viewed from different angles. It has even been used in some SUV models of Range Rover.

However, the technology used in these vehicles consisted of a polarized filter similar to the privacy screens we are accustomed to seeing on computers. Apple’s developed technology is much more complex, as it is not possible to see anything with the naked eye on these new screens.

So, what will the invisible screen be used for? Apple focuses on two main ideas. In the first one, an AR headset is used, while a much smaller AR glasses are required for the second one. Therefore, a second device in the form of glasses will be used to customize and see the images given by the screens according to the individual.

This technology stands out among the Apple Car screen features, and it works in combination with eye tracking software and a prismatic lens layer embedded in the screen. The screen will show two different images at the same time by controlling the backlight and these images will be displayed at different angles thanks to prismatic lenses.

In fact, Apple’s goal is a bit more driver-focused in this area. For example, while the passengers in the car navigate and play games on digital content platforms, the driver wearing the glasses or headset will be able to see navigation and vehicle information.
