In the past months, as Apple’s software has been dug deeper, information has emerged that Apple has created a new smart home assistant. Under normal circumstances, the product should be introduced at an event with the new Mac computers released last month. But predictions from analyst Ming Chi Kuo reveal the product’s launch date.
Apple home assistant with screen could be introduced in the first quarter of 2025
In recent months, the MacRumors team has been digging deeper into Apple software, and it turns out that Apple is developing software for a device codenamed Home Accessory17.1. Users mistook this device for the first HomePod. However, HomePods appear to be registered as Audio Accessory in the Apple ecosystem. Another detail that attracts the attention of users is the 17.1 detail used on the code name. Apple used the 17.1 as iPhone17.1 in the iPhone 16 series it introduced this year. Analysts have concluded that Apple is developing a new home assistant based on this issue and that company will give the home assistant the Apple A18 processor used in the iPhone 16 series.
Analyst Ming Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions about Apple products, says that company may introduce a new Apple home assistant with the iPhone SE 4, which is expected to be introduced in March. According to Ming Chi Kuo, the new smart home assistant is expected to be similar to the HomePod but with a 6 or 7-inch screen. According to some previous leaks and predictions, Apple was supposed to unveil this device at an event with its new Mac computers, but the company is said to have failed to deliver the operating system for the Apple home assistant.
Ming Chi Kuo says company could introduce a next-generation home assistant as well as a smart home camera in 2026. The analyst expects Apple to have produced and sold about 500,000 smart home assistants with screens in the second half of 2025. Since the Apple home assistant will include the A18 processor, it is known that it will have Apple Intelligence support. The camera is expected to join the Apple ecosystem seamlessly through HomeKit, even the home assistant.
