With the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Death Stranding and Resident Evil 4 on iOS, games are now playable on iPhone. However, it seems that the agreements between major game companies and Apple have not excited users. High-end PC and console games were almost never sold on the App Store.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Death Stranding and Resident Evil 4 not sold on iPhone
Mobile analytics firms Appfigures and Appmagic revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been downloaded for free more than 100,000 times since its release in June, but fewer than 6,000 players have purchased the full game.
Similarly, around 5,750 players refused to pay the $29.99 price of Resident Evil 4. 10,600 players bought Death Stranding on the App Store. These games, which made it big on PC and console, failed to create excitement among iPhone users.
Analysts say these numbers are disappointing when compared to other mobile games. The free Assassin’s Creed Rebellion was downloaded more than 1.9 million times in the same period. Speaking on the subject, an analyst pointed out that premium games on mobile devices are usually sold between 5 and 10 dollars.
The prices of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Death Stranding and Resident Evil 4 are well above these tags. So it’s not in line with the average spending habits of mobile gamers. However, the fact that users are not inclined towards these games may lead Apple to terminate the agreements.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage allows players to play for free for 90 minutes. In this way, users who are undecided about whether to buy the game can try the production for a short time.
