Except for a special 10th anniversary ringtone released in 2017 exclusively for iPhone X, no new ringtones have been introduced for a decade. On September 18, Apple will launch new iPhone ringtones for all models that will receive iOS 17.

It is also possible to customize this call screen from font style to color.

NameDrop, an AirDrop-like feature, is another important innovation.
