Apple introduced the iPhone 16 series at the Glowtime event. Along with the renewed smartphones, many artificial intelligence features were also unveiled. So what are the artificial intelligence features that will be supported by Apple Intelligence?
What are the features to be offered with Apple Intelligence?
The tech giant unveiled its latest AI platform, Apple Intelligence, at the recent WWDC event, and shared some of the features that will be coming with the iPhone 16 family. The company said it will run multiple productive AI models locally on the phone. It will also use cloud computing for specialized operations.
The Image Playground feature is a brand new image-generation tool developed by Apple. Users will also be able to create their own emojis. The “cowboy frog” shown at the event demonstrated the emojis that can be created with a simple command. You will be able to use these emojis in applications such as iMessage.
AI features include notifications and email summaries. It will also be possible to remove unwanted elements from photos thanks to the Clean Up feature in Photos.
Of course, Siri will also get its share of artificial intelligence. According to the company, a new era will begin for the digital assistant. The assistant will provide step-by-step guidance on some features that can be especially helpful for new iPhone users. On the other hand, it will gain “screen awareness” and will be able to perform functions such as updating a name in the contacts.
Another feature that will be available with iPhone 16 will be Visual Intelligence. Users will be able to get various information using the camera. For example, when a dog is captured with the camera, it will provide information about its breed and all of it will be stored on the device.
The tech giant will make Apple Intelligence available in English in December. New languages are expected to be available in 2025.
