Apple is leaving behind its long-standing design line in the iPhone series. The company is preparing to make significant design changes to iPhones every year until 2027. The change process begins with the iPhone 17 model, which will be released in 2025.
Apple is making design changes to the iPhone series
The camera island of the iPhone 17 Pro is being expanded to completely cover the upper part of the back surface. While the camera lenses remain on the left side, the LED flash, microphone and LiDAR sensors are being moved to the right side.

It is not yet certain whether a dual-tone design will be used on the back surface. Conflicting information from different sources on the subject shows that this design element is still under evaluation.
However, the changes will not be limited to the iPhone 17. With the iPhone 18, which is expected to be released in 2026, the “Dynamic Island” design on the front face is being completely removed. According to the latest information, there will only be a small hole for the camera on the front face.
The Face ID components are being moved under the screen. Thus, there will be no notch or island structure on the screen. By 2027, Apple is expected to switch to a truly notchless and hole-free full-screen design with the iPhone 19.
It was reported that both the front camera and the Face ID system will be integrated under the screen in this model. Thus, the expectations for a full-screen iPhone that have been going on for years have been confirmed for the first time. So what do you think about this subject?
