Apple has begun testing two new features that have not been announced for iOS 26. According to information shared by Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman, these two features, which were not announced at WWDC 2025, are currently being tested quietly within the company. According to Gurman, Apple is particularly reluctant to announce functions that are not yet ready due to calendar shifts in previous years.
Apple will offer new features for iOS 26
The Live Translation feature introduced with iOS 26 was initially defined to be used only within the iPhone interface. However, Apple is preparing to bring this translation feature to AirPods models as well. The function, which is in the testing phase, will allow conversations in different languages to be heard in real time via AirPods. The feature can provide a significant advantage to users in situations where instant communication is critical, such as travel and multilingual meetings.

Another feature under development is Wi-Fi network synchronization. Thanks to this function, the Wi-Fi network connected via an Apple device will be automatically synchronized with all devices connected to the same Apple ID. For example, a connection made to hotel networks from an iPhone will automatically be transferred to an iPad or Mac connected to the same account. This will eliminate the need for users to enter separate passwords on each device.
Both features are expected to emerge in beta tests that will last until the end of the year. These features, which are not included in the general release of iOS 26, are expected to be included in the stable version with iOS 26.1, which is planned to be released in October, or iOS 26.2 in December. Apple has not yet made an official statement on the subject.
