Today, Apple announced new devices, including new iPads, Apple Pencil Hover, and more. A little time after the crash of the Apple website, Apple activated its website with new iPads, and more. While the new iPads come in two models, the Pro model also comes with the M2 chip contrary to the 10th Gen iPad, which has A14 Bionic. Here are the details about the new iPad Pro with M2.
The new iPad Pro is 15% faster than its predecessor
According to the claims by Apple, the new Pro model has up to 15% faster CPU performance with the new M2 chipset. The device has also 35% faster GPU performance, unlike the 9th Gen iPad Pro with the M1 chip.
The tech giant also launched a new Wi-Fi 6E version with the new iPad models. The iPad Pro is the first Apple device that comes with the new Wi-Fi model. Apple says that the Wi-Fi 6E supports download speeds of up to 2.4Gbps.
Additionally, the M2 chip comes with a new media engine and image signal processor. Thanks to the signal processor, you can now use ProRes video recording for the first time with up to 3x faster ProRes video transcoding. The new Pro model has the same size, weight, display brightness, resolution, and battery life as the previous models.
If you would like to order the new iPad Pro with M2 chip, the orders are available on Apple’s website and in the Apple Store in the US and 27 other countries. The new Pro model comes with pricing starting at $799 for the 11-inch model while the 12.9-inch model costs $999. The device is available in Space Gray and Silver color options. In addition, Apple launches the device with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage options. The iPad Pro with M2 will be delivered and available in-store on Wednesday, October 26th.
