It seems that robots are going to be part of the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Apple might be working on a new robot. According to claims by Mark Gurman, the new robot or robotic arm developed by Apple will have an iPad-like screen, and the company is already working on the project with a team of several hundred people. Here are the details…
Apple’s Robot Has Been Tried Before by Samsung and Amazon
While the robot reportedly being developed by Apple may be new for the company, this move has been seen before from Samsung and Amazon. However, Samsung never released its introduced robot to the market, and Amazon stopped production. This suggests that such robots haven’t been particularly popular. According to the reports, Apple is working on a robotic arm with an iPad-like screen.
Gurman shared that this robotic arm can move up and down, rotate 360 degrees, and perform various tasks. The robot, expected to be introduced as a desktop device, is anticipated to help control smart homes, participate in video conferences, monitor home security, and simplify many similar tasks for people.
The robot is also said to include AI features through Apple Intelligence, responding to commands like “look at me” to facilitate video calls or daily life. Additionally, it’s claimed that the company is already testing this robotic arm with an updated and different version of iPadOS.
The project is reportedly led by Apple’s Vice President of Technology, Kevin Lynch, and the new device is expected to be released as early as 2026 or 2027 with a price tag of around $1,000. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts in the comments.
