Apple recently introduced the Apple Music Classical app to iPhone users on the App Store. Surprisingly, the app has also been made available to Android users on the Play Store. However, it is notable that the Music Classical app is not yet available for use on iPad and Mac devices.
Apple Music Classical iPad and Mac versions expected at WWDC 2023
Android users can now access the Apple Music Classical app, which was initially launched on iPhones a few months ago. This app, specifically designed for classical music enthusiasts, offers a comprehensive catalog of over five million tracks.
According to the statement, users can explore classical music through advanced search options, access curated playlists based on different periods, and utilize the AirPods Spatial Audio technology for an enhanced listening experience. The app is compatible with Android 9 and later versions.
The Music Classical app features a distinct design compared to Apple Music, with a focus on highlighting expressions such as orchestra and conductor to enhance the classical music experience. This allows users to create new playlists based on specific composers.
It’s worth noting that the app is currently unavailable for iPad and Mac devices. However, there are speculations that Apple might unveil optimized versions for these platforms during WWDC 2023.
One aspect that sets Music Classical apart from other music apps is its inclusion of thousands of exclusive tracks not found on other platforms. Apple’s acquisition of Primephonic, a classical music service, in 2021 has granted them the rights to hundreds of tracks.
