Last year in June, Apple introduced the new Apple CarPlay software with some expected new features and deeper integration. The tech giant announced that it will launch the new software with more improved features and deeper integration with cars. Until now, there have been many rumors about the upcoming software, but we now learn the company will launch the new-generation CarPlay on at least 14 car brands sometime at the end of this year.
Which car brands will get the next-generation Apple CarPlay?
The next-generation car software is expected to come with new features, as promised. For example, one of the most expected features is the multi-display support, which allows the system to extend the main infotainment screen inside the car. According to Apple’s announcement, the layout and the shape of the screen will be custom-tailored for each car.
Apple says that the first cars with the next-generation CarPlay will be introduced in late 2023. For now, at least 14 auto brands will get the software, claimed.

The next-generation CarPlay will come with some new features, from security to driver assistance. According to the promises, the software will have several functions, including Instrument Cluster Integration, Widgets on Apple CarPlay, Multi-Display Support, Climate Controls, and more.
For example, one of the most expected features is Instrument Cluster Integration. With this feature, the new CarPlay will offer drivers integration with detailed options on the instrument panel including a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and more. Additionally, the feature will let you choose between different theme options like designs, layouts, and more.
