With the announcement of Apple Intelligence alongside the iPhone 16 series and iOS 18, Apple has taken a significant step into a more advanced era of artificial intelligence. A recent leak has unveiled the tech giant’s two key priorities in the AI space. Here are the major developments we may see this year.
Apple could redesign Siri in 2025
It seems the time has come for Siri, Apple’s long-standing virtual assistant, to undergo a major upgrade. Falling behind compared to the rapidly evolving AI models, Siri is expected to see substantial improvements this year. According to renowned Apple analyst Mark Gurman, Apple’s top priority for 2025 is to revamp Siri’s AI infrastructure.

In addition, notes reportedly written by John Giannandrea, Apple’s Head of AI, highlight that significant advancements in AI are on the horizon. According to Gurman, Apple’s second priority is to introduce innovations and enhancements to its existing AI models.
Gurman’s exact statement:
“Giannandrea wrote that the AI group is focusing this year on revamping Siri’s core infrastructure and advancing the company’s own AI models.”
The AI developments, expected to become even more prominent in iOS 18.4 and later versions, are anticipated to introduce major new features by 2026. Apple’s commitment to AI advancements as part of its 2025 roadmap will likely be well-received by users.
