Apple, which introduces new iPhone models every September, will unveil the iPhone 16 series on the specified dates this year. However, today’s leaks show that there will be a serious change in the iPhone series. It looks like Apple will now discontinue the Plus model.
Starting from the iPhone 17 series, Plus models will be Slim!
While three models in the iPhone 14 series were in serious demand, Plus was slightly behind them due to its features. Now aiming to provide a definitive solution to this situation, Apple aims to replace the Plus in the iPhone series with Slim to better reflect the distinction between the entry model and Pro models. The company, which will offer the first model in the iPhone 17 family, plans to come up with the iPhone 17 Slim, not the iPhone 17 Plus.
Slim models, which will be designed to be thinner and lighter than current models, will achieve an elegant appearance with an aluminum casing. Apple iPhone 17 Slim, which will carry the horizontal camera design that Apple abandoned years ago, in a larger way on the back, will reveal its difference compared to the Pro models of the iPhone, although it resembles the Google Pixel 8 in this case.
iPhone 17 Slim, which will reflect its style not only with its case but also with its Dynamic Island design, will have a Dynamic Island designed smaller than the Pro models. The device, which will carry a 6.55-inch screen, will put an end to Apple’s offer of either small or large. Because now there will be another screen size between 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.
Apparently, Apple aims to appeal to more people with the iPhone series by turning the Plus model into Slim. How do you evaluate Apple’s iPhone 17 Slim step? We welcome your opinions in the comments.
