Apple has released the third beta of iOS 18.6, the continuation of the iOS 18 software cycle. Along with iOS 18.6 beta 3, iPadOS 18.6, macOS Sequoia 15.6, visionOS 2.6, watchOS 11.6, and tvOS 18.6 have also been released to developers. The final versions of the updates will be released to users within a few weeks.
iOS 18.6 beta 3 and more are available
The new betas don’t include major updates. Apple prioritizes stability in these intermediate releases. Major releases like iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe, which the company will release in the fall, will include new features and significant changes such as a redesign called “Liquid Glass.” However, iOS 18.6, released before this major transition, is expected to be the last major update for many users before they upgrade to iOS 26.

Particularly considering iPhone models incompatible with iOS 26, iOS 18.6 focuses on system stability and performance rather than innovation. Apple isn’t making any major visual changes or functional upgrades in this release. The update is planned to be available to all users soon.
The number of visible changes coming in iOS 18.6 beta 3 is currently limited. Apple hasn’t shared detailed information in the release notes. Developers and beta users have begun testing the system performance improvements. It’s not yet clear whether more changes will be added via beta updates before the final release.
